Physics Credits
Like many undergraduate students, struggled with Physics in my degree and failed it in my first year. Like many students it was extremely hard to memorize theories, principles, and grasp the laws of Physics. More importantly, I did not possess the skills to apply this theoretical knowledge into problem solving practice.
Like many students I approached studying Physics using the same principles for studying biology. Trying to learn the complex concepts of Physics using the wrong approach leads to being frustrated with the subject, especially if when your grades persist to remain low and show no improvement.
Once I started teaching Science, which required developing a conceptual understanding of the content and persistence in using those concepts to solve problems, I was able to overcome my past experience and passed Physics with distinction through UNISA. Through distance learning I developed the necessary approach to understand Physics concepts conceptually, apply those concepts to problem-solving, and more importantly developing thinking skills to work through difficult problems.
